Arcadia Dragnet, Year 1, Issue 22

Welcome back to Arcadia Dragnet! Why is this so late? I don't know! I watched a pile of cool stuff, but more importantly let's talk about fansubs!

(Of the anime I watched this week, my biggest recommendations would have to be Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, Hare Tokidoki Buta (1988), Inazma Delivery and Hana & Alice: Satsujin Jiken.)

Contemporary Anime- Unlicensed 

This week Hoshi-no-Yume FS released episode 9 of Beyblade Burst Sparking, Hikki released episode 8 of Komatta Jii-san, MoyaiSubs released episode 96 of Kiratto Pri-chan, Doki Fansubs released episode 4 of Girl Gaku ~Hijiri Girls Square Gakuen~, KiruaSubs released Yesterday wo Utatte Extra episode 5 (to be paired with episode 9), Zorori-Project released episode 6 of Motto! Majimeni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori, Mezashite released episode 4 of the Aikatsu on Parade ONA series, Ghostavich released episode 16 of Rebirth, and an anon subbed episode 9 of Tomica Kizuna Earth Granner.

Impatience released episode 25 of Bungo Stray Dogs as well as their subs for the 16th and final episode of Breakers. They then followed this up with a Breakers batch release, containing updated fansubs for all 16 episodes which improve on the group's earlier work.

Specter Subs released episode 2 of Youkai Watch Jam: Youkai Gakuen Y - N to no Souguu. This is going to be the first of many releases as Specter Subs shifts to focus entirely on Youkai Gakuen.

Pyroxene Scans released the first 13 episodes of Gaist Crusher, a lesser-known kids anime from 2013. If you'd like to check out a primer on what the series is, the fansub group created one on their blog.

For smaller releases, Hikki released v2 subs for the Heya Camp Special and AsperaCircle (my group!) fansubbed Moom: Hajimari no Monogatari.

Finally AnimoTVSlash, a bad fansub group, released fansubs for Ningen Shikkaku (2019).

Contemporary Anime- Licensed

This week Aeenald released episode 9 of Otome Flag, delete aniplex released episode 8 of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 2 and Pasta-Subs released episodes 1 and 2 of Fugou Keiji Balance - Unlimited. YameteTomete released episode 11 of Madoka Magica: Magia Record.

For typesetting-only releases, Mad Le Zisell released episode 9 of Nami yo Kiitekure and episode 9 of Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu, ShowY released episode 9 of Arte and episode 9 of Yesterday wo Utatte (along with Extra episode 5), and MoeDesuDesu released episode 7 of Kaguya-sana: Love is War season 2.

For Blu-Ray releases, Kaleido-subs released volume 2 of Joshiraku (encompassing episodes 3 and 4). Tenki no Ko received releases from ZetaRebel and Beatrice-Raws.

For larger releases, ShowY put out a batch release of Goutoubun no Hanayome drawing on many fansub sources to create subs with comprehensive typesetting and CBM put out a Blu-Ray release for Promare (including the Galo and Lio specials). DmonHiro meanwhile put out Blu-Ray batch releases for Aquarion Logos, Domestic Girlfriend, Koisuru Asteroid and Senryu Girl.

Classic Anime

This week OldCastle released episode 13 of Ashita e Attack, Inka-Subs released episode 11 of Oishinbo, Johnny-englishsubs released episode 12 of Aim for the Ace 2, GANGO released episode 20 of Madou King Granzort, Elusive released episode 12 of KochiKame, MaruChanSubs released episode 70 of Chibi Maruko-chan, /m/subs and The Skaro Hunting Society collaboratively released episode 13 of Galactic Patrol Lensman (1984), Saizen Fansubs released episode 3 of Bad Boys, Aniclub released episode 4 of Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru, ChuySub released episode 16 of Majokko Megu-chan, and NoraInuG released episodes 18 - 22 of Yatterman (1977).

T_F_C12 released batches for episodes 1 - 26 of Hot-Blooded Strongest Go-Saurer and episodes 27 - 51 of Absolute Invincible Raijin-Oh, both building on Subdivers' fansubs. Orphan Fansubs released an improved version of Oedo wa Nemurenai!, now paired to a better video source. Yellow-Flash released a batch for Berserk (1997).

Hentai and Donghua

SakuraCircle released fanusbs for episode 4 of Kanpeki Ojou-sama no Watakushi ga Dogeza de Mazo Ochisuru Choroin na Wakenai Desu wa!, episode 4 of Hitozuma, Mitsu to Niku, episode 2 of Jitaku Keibiin 2, episode 2 of Kyonyuu Princess Saimin and episode 1 of Yarichin Kateikyoushi Netori Houkoku. CLAP released episode 2 of Cream Lemon and Incense Idol Subs released episode 6 of Lolita Anime.


For donghua, yunmengshi released episode 10 of Man Tou Riji (Man Tou Diaries), DilyDali released episode 2 of Bai Gui You Eryuan (Onmyoji- Hundred Spirits Kindergarten) season 3, sacredgold released episode 106 of Douluo Dalu (Soul Land) and Troy released episode 12 of Wan Sheng Jie (All Saints Street) along with a complete v2 batch.

There we go! As you can see, the donghua section is a bit more fleshed out than usual- that's because I did some research and found more groups to list! Hopefully I'm able to continue filling it out, see you all for the next post.
