Hiya everyone, welcome back to Arcadia Dragnet! Last week was sleepy but good for me, I finished watching Super GALS! Kotobuki Ran and it ended up meaning a lot to me. Hope you've all been keeping well, I've been getting sorta worn out and anxious because of the way things are... but I'm okay!
I'm gonna try to give these blog posts more of a regular structure. Shouldn't be anything major, but hopefully it improves the reading experience. As always, any feedback and suggestions are very welcome!
Contemporary Anime- Unlicensed
Weathering With You was streamed online this week! Unfortunately it was streamed with Dutch hardsubs, but nonetheless Lonely Hikikomori took the opportunity to put together some fansubs for it. This release used the official translation (captured on camera) as a base while changing some parts and adding translated lyrics for the songs. There have been a lot of further releases that use these subs, they should be serviceable for people who can't wait another month for the Blu-Ray to come out.
peachflavored released their version of Drifters: The Outlandish Knight, it seems to build off a Spanish fan-translation. Pasta-Subs released a version of Kagerou Daze: In a Day's, working off a translation done by thekagepro24. Finally, Mushin fansubbed episode 1 of Strike the Blood IV.
Contemporary Anime- Licensed
This week, GoodJobMedia released episode 9 of Eizouken, episode 4 of Ascendance of a Bookworm season 2, and episode 3 of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 2, Commie Subs released episodes 1 - 10 of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, YameteTomete released episode 8 of Madoka Magica: Magia Record, and Kaleido-subs and Flax Subs released episode 23 of Kimetsu no Yaiba. BluE released episodes 1 and 2 of Shoukgeki no Souma: Gou no Sara, and Aeenald released episodes 3 and 4 of Otome Flag.
For typesetting-only releases, Mad Le Zisell released episode 4 of Nami yo Kiitekure, episode 4 of Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu, and the first half of episode 4 of Gal to Kyouryuu, ShowY released episode 4 of Arte and episode 4 of Yesterday wo Utatte (along with the corresponding special episode), Mangaka released episodes 1 - 4 of Kakushigoto, and MoeDesuDesu released episode 2 of Kaguya-sana: Love is War season 2.
For larger releases, Fete Rider released batches for Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid and ViVid Strike!, Clara (fansub group Asakura releasing under a different name) released Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e, and MTBB put out a batch for their Blu-Ray releases of Oregairu season 1.
Classic Anime
Saizen Fansubs released a complete batch for the anime Beast Saga. This anime, originally fansubbed by them in collaboration with Ruri Subs, originally ran as 38 half-length episodes on television, but the final 7 full-length episodes of the series never were broadcast. This batch includes English-subbed versions of these lost episodes for the first time.
Wisperer is now re-timing the official subs for Yoru no Yatterman to a Blu-Ray video source, episodes 1-8 have so far been completed. Seicher has been slowly releasing a re-timed and re-encoded version of Monster, this week they released episode 5. Iznjie Biznjie released a further-polished version of Venus Wars timed to an improved video source, and Omotenashi released a slightly-edited version of the US Blu-Ray release of Riding Bean.
Hentai and Donghua
SakuraCircle released episode 4 of Ore no Yubi de Midarero and Ushichichi Tabehoudai! The Animation, episode 4 of Enjo Kouhai, episode 1 of Sotsugyou Chikan Densha, episode 1 of Suketto Sanjou the Animation, episode 1 of Haritsuke, and Tenioha! 2: Limit Over.
For donghua, Troy released episode 7 of Wan Sheng Jie (All Saints Street).
