This week Hoshi-no-Yume FS released episodes 11 and 12 of Beyblade Burst Sparking, Hikki released episode 10 of Komatta Jii-san, MoyaiSubs released episode 97 of Kiratto Pri-chan and episode 6 of Mewkledreamy (along with an updated version of episode 1), Specter Subs released episode 4 of Youkai Watch Jam: Youkai Gakuen Y - N to no Souguu, Some-Stuffs released episode 24 of Pokemon (2019), SMC-Subs released episode 4 of Pri-chan Kiratto Selection, Die Hot released episodes 6 - 10 of Great Pretender and an anon subbed episode 11 of Tomica Kizuna Earth Granner.


Asenshi released episode 8 of Brand New Animal and Lumpstud released episode 16 of The Snack World. Pizza released episode 1 of Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katri no Nazotoki File, using Saizen Fansubs' work as a base while applying edits and playing with the video source. Alvis released episodes 4 - 6 of Soukyuu no Fafner The Beyond and Tsama released updated subs for their releases of Lupin VIII and Lupin III- Prison of the Past.

This week Aeenald released episode 11 of Otome Flag, delete aniplex released episode 10 of Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 2, Truck'd released episode 9 of Princess Connect! Re-Dive and Kuroi-Subs released episodes 10 and 11 of Tower of God.

For typesetting-only releases, Tensai released episode 10 of Gleipnir, MoeDesuDesu released episode 8 of Kaguya-sana: Love is War season 2, Mad Le Zisell released episode 11 of Nami yo Kiitekure and episode 11 of Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu, and ShowY released episode 11 of Arte and episode 11 of Yesterday wo Utatte. MEGAMILK released episode 1 of Ishuzoku Reviewers, using many video sources and subtitle sources along with some of their own encoding and typesetting in order to hopefully make a definitive version.

For Blu-Ray releases, MTBB released volume 4 of Sword Art Onlineː Alicization - War of Underworld (encompassing episodes 10 - 12), Chihiro-Fansubs released volume 1 of Otome Flag (encompassing episodes 1 - 3) and BlurayDesuYo released volume 2 of Lord El-Melloi II Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note (encompassing episodes 2 and 3).

For larger releases, CBM put out a Blu-Ray release for Tokyo Godfathers, Beatrice-Raws and Kaizoku put out Blu-Ray releases for Her Blue Sky and DmonHiro put out Blu-Ray batch releases for Project K Seven Stories, Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Re:Zero Director's Cut.

This week BuriBuri released episodes 33 and 34 of Super Shiro, Hoshi-no-Yume FS released episode 10 of Beyblade Burst Sparking, Hikki released episode 9 of Komatta Jii-san, MoyaiSubs released episode 5 of Mewkledreamy, Specter Subs released episode 3 of Youkai Watch Jam: Youkai Gakuen Y - N to no Souguu, Some-Stuffs released episode 23 of Pokemon (2019) and episode 5 of Twilight Wings, SMC-Subs released episode 3 of Pri-chan Kiratto Selection and an anon subbed episode 10 of Tomica Kizuna Earth Granner.


Asenshi released episode 7 of Brand New Animal, Chyuu released episode 18 of Nanatsu no Taizai- Kamigami no Gekirin and MovingLines released episode 13 of Chocolat no Mahou along with an updated batch.

Great Pretender started releasing on Japanese Netflix and the group Die Hot has formed to fansub it! Currently they have completed the first 5 episodes.


Lupin III: The First released on Blu-Ray this week and many groups rushed to release subtitles to go along with it. Most notably, SakkaSubs released an edited set based on an earlier Portuguese-to-English translation, while Tsama created subtitles based on their own Japanese-to-English translation.

Orphan Fansubs released a video-improved version of Kigyou Senshi Yamazaki Long Distance Call, jeebs released a video-improved version of Seijuuki Cyguard, ZetaRebel put out a release of City Hunter- Shinjuku Private Eyes and Ginga-subs put out a release of Sword of the Stranger.

Yellow-Flash released a batch for Yu Yu Hakusho and DmonHiro released NG Knight Lamune & 40 EX and DX.

For donghua, yunmengshi released episode 10 of Man Tou Riji (Man Tou Diaries), DilyDali released episode 3 of Bai Gui You Eryuan (Onmyoji- Hundred Spirits Kindergarten) season 3, sacredgold released episode 107 of Douluo Dalu (Soul Land), Guodong Subs released episode 7 of Wan Sheng Jie (All Saints Street) and Gu Xiong (Lonely Hero: A Troubled Beginning) and Mooncakes Team released revised fansubs for episodes 1 - 10 of Qin Shi Ming Yue: Junlin Tianxia (Qin's Moon season 5).

Welcome back to Arcadia Dragnet! Why is this so late? I don't know! I watched a pile of cool stuff, but more importantly let's talk about fansubs!

(Of the anime I watched this week, my biggest recommendations would have to be Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, Hare Tokidoki Buta (1988), Inazma Delivery and Hana & Alice: Satsujin Jiken.)

Contemporary Anime- Unlicensed 

This week Hoshi-no-Yume FS released episode 9 of Beyblade Burst Sparking, Hikki released episode 8 of Komatta Jii-san, MoyaiSubs released episode 96 of Kiratto Pri-chan, Doki Fansubs released episode 4 of Girl Gaku ~Hijiri Girls Square Gakuen~, KiruaSubs released Yesterday wo Utatte Extra episode 5 (to be paired with episode 9), Zorori-Project released episode 6 of Motto! Majimeni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori, Mezashite released episode 4 of the Aikatsu on Parade ONA series, Ghostavich released episode 16 of Rebirth, and an anon subbed episode 9 of Tomica Kizuna Earth Granner.

Impatience released episode 25 of Bungo Stray Dogs as well as their subs for the 16th and final episode of Breakers. They then followed this up with a Breakers batch release, containing updated fansubs for all 16 episodes which improve on the group's earlier work.

Specter Subs released episode 2 of Youkai Watch Jam: Youkai Gakuen Y - N to no Souguu. This is going to be the first of many releases as Specter Subs shifts to focus entirely on Youkai Gakuen.

Pyroxene Scans released the first 13 episodes of Gaist Crusher, a lesser-known kids anime from 2013. If you'd like to check out a primer on what the series is, the fansub group created one on their blog.

For smaller releases, Hikki released v2 subs for the Heya Camp Special and AsperaCircle (my group!) fansubbed Moom: Hajimari no Monogatari.

Finally AnimoTVSlash, a bad fansub group, released fansubs for Ningen Shikkaku (2019).

For Blu-Ray releases, Kaleido-subs released volume 2 of Joshiraku (encompassing episodes 3 and 4). Tenki no Ko received releases from ZetaRebel and Beatrice-Raws.

For larger releases, ShowY put out a batch release of Goutoubun no Hanayome drawing on many fansub sources to create subs with comprehensive typesetting and CBM put out a Blu-Ray release for Promare (including the Galo and Lio specials). T_F_C12 released batches for episodes 1 - 26 of Hot-Blooded Strongest Go-Saurer and episodes 27 - 51 of Absolute Invincible Raijin-Oh, both building on Subdivers' fansubs. Orphan Fansubs released an improved version of Oedo wa Nemurenai!, now paired to a better video source. Yellow-Flash released a batch for Berserk (1997).

SakuraCircle released fanusbs for episode 4 of Kanpeki Ojou-sama no Watakushi ga Dogeza de Mazo Ochisuru Choroin na Wakenai Desu wa!, episode 4 of Hitozuma, Mitsu to Niku, episode 2 of Jitaku Keibiin 2, episode 2 of Kyonyuu Princess Saimin and episode 1 of Yarichin Kateikyoushi Netori Houkoku. CLAP released episode 2 of Cream Lemon and Incense Idol Subs released episode 6 of Lolita Anime.

Hey, welcome to Arcadia Dragnet. Sorry for the delay again, I've been stressed out and worried for my friends... But fortunately there are lots of cool anime that've helped me keep okay! I watched Kaijuu no Kodomo, Shiki and Tenki no Ko and got into groupwatches of Heybot and The Perfect Insider. A lot of people are suffering a lot more than I am right now and I hope things turn out all right... but for now, let's check out what fansubs came out!

Contemporary Anime- Unlicensed 

This week BuriBuri released episode 32 of Super Shiro, Hikki released episode 7 of Komatta Jii-san, an anon subbed episode 8 of Tomica Kizuna Earth Granner, and for Kiratto Pri-chan, Impatience released episode 15 of Breakers, Asenshi released episode 6 of Brand New Animal, MoyaiSubs released episodes 94 and 95 of Kiratto Pri-chan, and SMC-Subs released episode 2 of Kiratto Pri-chan Selection.

Finally AnimoTVSlash released fansubs for Hakubo. As this blog has noted before, AnimoTVSlash, also known as Spring Animes 2018 HD, is an infamously terrible fansub group whose translations are horribly inaccurate. They also put watermarks on their video releases.

Lonely Hikikomori revised her fansubs for Weathering With You to match the newly-released Blu-Ray video source. This new version includes better typesetting, translations for songs and most signs, fixed typos and various translation improvements, and piles of other minor tweaks.

For Blu-Ray releases, Kaleido-subs released volume 1 of Joshiraku (encompassing episodes 1 and 2). For larger releases, Tensai put out a batch release of Yuru Camp (including the OVA) timed to Blu-Ray video while DmonHiro put out Blu-Ray batch releases for Azur Lane, Conception and High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World!
